Rene, what are we doing here? Well, Sean, we are in the beginning of our third season.
And like always, we do this because we are passionate about music and about specific bands that maybe were overlooked.
Or if you like said band, well, you're going to learn a whole bunch of stuff about them.
And, you know, I think it's pretty good that we're up to our third season, you know, and so I want to celebrate our long relationship as well as, you know, the fact that our podcast is a thing now.
And so I want to talk about an artist who is celebrating his 40th anniversary of making music under his stage name.
We talked about one of his controversies in a previous episode, but I think he needs one of his own.
And I think it's a pretty good name for a singer who, over his long career, unflatteringly describes desire, commits blasphemy, tells stories of murder and adultery.
But really what I think it's so important is he was the first band that I think you and I shared the fandom together.
But I remember like this was a big connection for us and we were both just major fans.
