Well, most all of it is brand new, but there are two riffs that have made it from the past.

The first one is the opening clean part to Flower of Life was the middle section, something I had written for a song called My Sorrow Is My Own.

part and that song never made it on an album it was kind of forgotten about it was an epic it's one of our demo tracks and you see it's on the uh the bootleg demo endless i don't know what they call it endless slaughter or something i'm not sure what they call it it's something but it's if you if you get to the middle of the song and you get to that uh after the singing part there's a little thing.

All the rest of it was brand new, fresh ideas, and the first one I came up with was the opening to Divided by Zero, you know, that riff.

And I just kind of, I tune out the outside world when it comes to writing, and I know when I started showing stuff to Chris, he was real concerned with like, oh, I want to make sure the old fans can relate to this and that and the other.

And I let him kind of wrestle with that until we actually got to the point where we're just writing, and I stopped hearing it.

But at the same time, no Forbidden record has ever been really uh driven or or worried about what people think because all those albums are different every album is different and they should be different and i just follow the bell and you know the one thread between all those records that is there is me and my riffing and my songwriting and um it's always going to not repeat itself

Yeah, and I feel like every album, like Distortion, Green, there's so many similarities and differences between those two records.

Even the first two, there's definitely the second one that's a little more technical.

I love Omega Wave because I feel like it is a bit of a love letter to the band's discography.
