And there's a reason why I invited each of you to be on this panel, because I really wanted those different voices as part of this conversation.

And so tell us a little bit about what advocacy looks like for the Wild Center, for your organization.

And then what issues are you focusing on and how do you move them forward? Sure.
And our way of approaching it really has been developed on the relationship model as well.
Primarily, I've worked in fundraising for a lot of years and The best fundraising is done in philanthropy through developing authentic relationships.
And so advocacy for the Wild Center is really about an extension of that model.
We know that our individual donors give to us because they want to invest, because they believe in what we do.
And that really does extend to every other sector and all of our stakeholders.
And the more we get to know them and the more they get to know us as people, humans, the the more likely it is that good collaborations can happen.
As Nicole was mentioning, you know, this is really about collaborations.

What does advocacy look like for your organization and what issues are you focusing on and moving forward?

Yeah, so advocacy operates on several different levels and it never stops, especially in my role with the organization.

But our fundamental is always advocating for the value of tourism, ensuring that our elected officials, our public partners, even our residents understand what hospitality is all about, that it is workforce, that it is tax-based, that it is economic competitiveness.
