4 Ways to Live a Consecrated Life to God | Kenneth Mulkey

Hey, if you're joining us for the very first time, we are on a series in the book of Judges.

Judges is one of the Old Testament books.

And we're learning about different judges in Israel, how God used different people.

And one of the things we're learning is that although God used them and although they serve God, it doesn't necessarily mean that they didn't live a life without some struggles and without some challenges.

And so today we're going to be studying about a young man who had a life that was used by God, and he did some great things as one of the judges of Israel.

He was actually the 12th judge of Israel.

His name is Samson.

His name appears 38 times in the Bible.

One time in Hebrews 11, verse number 32, because he's in the list of people who exercise faith in God, and they did some great exploits in their lives.

And so it just shows us a lot that, you know, here's somebody who's serving God but yet has struggles.

We want to talk about some of those things in his life today so that we can learn how to live a life that's really going to be to God and the way God wants us to live.

And so if you don't mind just joining me in a word of prayer, we'll just jump right into the message this morning.

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this opportunity to approach your word.

Lord, we do so with reverence.

We do so with humility.

We do so with a heart that is hungry to learn and to grow.

So we thank you, Holy Spirit, for teaching us and opening up the eyes of our understanding this morning, filling and flooding our hearts with light.

Holy Spirit, speak to each one of us.

We came to church today not to hear from a man.

We came to church today to hear from Almighty God, our Heavenly Father.

And so speak clearly and help us to know you more.

Help us to learn and grow and be transformed by you.

In Jesus' name, amen.
