Dressed for Warfare (Part 3)

Now Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 12, the Bible says, I said the last two weekends, the battles we have in life are fundamentally not physical in nature, it is spiritual.

Because it says that it is in the heavenly places.

It connotes a spiritual realm.

And I've said it many times.

And get this into your hearts.

Get this into your spirits.

If we don't know how to navigate the spiritual realm, we will not be effectively fixing the natural realm.

And so we've got to be skilled in combat.

We've got to be skilled to navigating the spiritual realms.

And so spiritual warfare can then be defined in this way, a conflict in the spiritual realm because it emanated from there, it originated from there, that affects what you are going through in the physical realm because it is manifested here on earth.

Now Paul breaks up the armor of God into two sets of three pieces each.

Last two weekends we looked at the first three pieces of the armor and Paul uses the verb having.

And I said having means to? Come on.

Encourage me a little bit.

Having means to be, and to be is a state of being.

It's a state of being, which means when it comes to the first three pieces of the armor, having girded your loins with the belt of truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, having shoved your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, having is a state of being.

You never take these pieces off.

It is who you are.

It is your character.

Truth, righteousness and peace.

It's what you carry in your walk in the faith of the Lord.

Amen.

And so that's the state of being.
