We visit Karin Hvidtfeldt and winemaker Lou Langdon of Hideaway Vingaard on Fejø, a small island off Lolland in southern Denmark. They explain how the sea gives Fejø about 200 more hours of sunshine…

What Feiyu is to you, because you are not even Danish.
Yeah, I actually originally come from England and I came to Feiyu for the first time as a volunteer.
When I was studying organic and biodynamic farming, I ended up here, basically by chance.
And I was so excited because this is an island that most people probably never have heard of before.
And you come over and you just see this small island with very, very sweet people around all the place and with such a nice microclimate.
When you get here and you think that it's Denmark and it's the north and it should be cold and maybe there's snow or...
But you get here and you see like palm trees growing, especially here at Hideaway, but fig trees, apples, plums, pears, peaches, almonds.
And it's a place where everybody knows each other and where everybody helps each other.
Let's talk about this.
