After a bit of a hiatus, Collecter Chatter is back with a 2.0 version of the podcast! This week we chat about all the awesome Marvel announcements at SDCC, the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day…
And I know we wanted to kind of run through some of that stuff because I One, there's obviously a movie coming out this weekend for those of you who have been living on a rock that we're super excited
about.
But let's start off with Spider-Man.
Let's talk about a little bit of just kind of, because that's the big one right now that I'm... very hyped i know we're both gonna go and watch it this weekend um but yeah kind of what are your what do you anticipate with this movie like it's obviously gonna be it's supposedly already trending it was wild i saw a number that said like 800 million in global first weekend which is
crazy they're saying it's gonna be end game level you know it's A box office opening we have not seen in a while, which is exciting because that also shows that a lot of people are like superhero fatigue, Marvel fatigue.
It's like people want what's good.
And we're just tired of getting stuff that isn't.
So whenever someone... comes out with a new Spider-Man project.
People are pumped, and I am particularly excited for this movie.
I think this one...
I feel like I'm excited for the more grounded story.
I mean, it leads us right off from no way home where no one really remembers who Peter Parker is.
I think it's going to be a really cycle lot, like a movie that deals with like work-life balance, mental health issues, stuff like that.
Like stuff that happens in the real world.
Um, and the action looks amazing.
There's a lot of homage to comic book covers.
Um, Yeah, I think it's going to be a new, darker take, too.
All in all, I don't want to keep talking.
I want you to talk a little bit, but I'm excited for this one.
