Mitch McConnell put out another statement and photo. The state of Massachusetts is revoking the medical license of a woman who punched a police officer during the January 6th attack on the Capitol…
The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine announced its disciplinary action against Starer on Thursday.
The board said it had revoked her right to renew her license after finding that she was among a crowd which stormed and breached the U.S. Capitol on January 6th and that she struck a metropolitan police officer with her fist closed.
After being charged in the Capitol attack, she, quote, entered into a voluntary agreement not to practice.
In addition to her felony charges, she pled guilty to misdemeanor counts of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in the Capitol building, act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or building, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol building.
But at the time of her arrest, December 2022, she worked at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, which later said she was no longer active at their organization.
She was sentenced in September 2024 to nine months of home confinement, telling a federal judge at the time that she wasn't proud of her actions that day, including her regrettable encounter with the officer.
