Okay, so today we are going to kind of come at friendship from a different direction.

And we're going to talk about disagreements in friendship, okay? We want to discuss how we as followers of Jesus can have loving friendships with people that we have disagreements with, right?

Can a friendship survive when there is a core belief that you and a friend differ on? I believe that it can.

And so I want to tell y'all, our listeners, something that happened to us a week or so ago.

Most of you know that several years ago, Michael Passans, formerly of the group Avalon, traveled on the road with us and he played keys for us.

And during that period, as you do when you travel with people, you get to know each other so well.

But I think it was around 2020-ish, y'all correct me if I'm wrong, that Michael came out as a gay man.

And it was roughly around that same time that he stopped traveling and playing piano for us.

And, you know, he may not have been our piano player anymore, but we never stopped loving him.
