Today is a very fun topic because it's a topic that I personally ...I think its b-been very relevant in my journey lately.

I've even been hearing from people in my personal life is like little comments like this .and I've even been seeing it online as I'm scrolling.

Like I saw a video of this sweet girl who was sitting in her car and she was talking about how she's like Yeah I should kno..Like I should know this by now" Like I-I uh-I've seen the way that God has showed up in my life before and I don't know how I'm still struggling with believing that He'll provide or believing certain characteristics aspects and truths of who God says He is and I'd love to talk about that That spiritual shame or guilt or just the genuine feeling of being like Wow I should know this by now.' And I don't know if it was in our last episode or a couple of episodes ago where we lightly touched on that Of how we really do need to be reminded of the basics The basics of what this walk is What this life is right? Here on earth Like that it is temporary And I think a lot of times Me --i'll use myself n-as an example right now But I so many times forget that this life is not the endgame And God tells us in scripture that this is actua....We are foreigners in this land of which we live in In this life here on Earth And it's not actually our home It's not our final destination Life here is a gift and it's important An-And it's not that statement invalidates or takes away any validity to our lives here Our purpose Right?'Cause I think you can go to the extreme with that and be like 'Okay s-then what's the point of all of this?" There's many points to all of this Also life is such a gift And t-there are lessons and qualities and aspects of us and this life that will come with us in the afterlife You know there are parts of our character that God is shaping and forming in us here on Earth that will be carried off into infinity and beyond with our Lord and Savior in heaven one day Aaaand there are things that we will be able to take with us The way God has molded us and shaped us here on earth, it matters the things that we do and the way that we show up in the world.

And that is all true, you know? But something that I forget so many times is I just, I get so wrapped up in the moments that are happening right now, and I get so wrapped up in life now, and I forget that there's more.

And when we get back to that place of remembering like, "Oh, God's actually shown me how big he is," and he's shown me that, like, the things that I'm worried about and the problems that I'm having right now are so much smaller than He is, you know? A- and I've, I've learned that before.

And I wanna talk about that today because I think there is a very real voice that can enter all of our minds that can be very condemning where it's putting, like, this weird shame on us in our spiritual walk, in our journey with Jesus that's like, "Yeah, I don't know why you're still struggling with this." Like, you actually just saw the faithfulness of God a couple of days ago, so what are you doing? [claps] How are you forgetting this already?" And I was talking with some friends the other day, uh, in a Bible study, and that was something that was coming up, was somebody was sharing.

I thought this was something that, you know, we learned to not worry about anymore." And I was so grateful for that person sharing that because I felt just a few days prior that that same thought had crossed my mind where I was like, "This is so, like, pre-K." [laughs] You know? This is l-...

How am I still having to be reminded of the same thing again?" And then going back to what I was starting to share, I was scrolling on TikTok, and I saw this sweet girl sitting in her car, and she was sharing that same feeling of frustration, of being like, "Yeah, I have seen how God has actually come through for me in my life, and He's been a provider, and that I don't need to live in this scarcity mindset, yet I find myself back in this scarcity mindset again.

Why am I doubting it again?' Because I think the truth is, is like it's easier for us to have grace for ourselves if we haven't seen God come through for us already, you know? It's easy for us to look at our situation and have compassion on ourselves and go, "Okay, well it makes sense that you're uneasy about this thing though, Al, because you haven't really seen God come through yet or in this way before," or whatever.
