A C2C Fantasy Football show hosted by Colin (@C2CDecker) and Austin (@DevyDeets). The guys start by breaking down the biggest storylines from Week 5. Then, they discuss what they got wrong this…
All right, let's get into this here.
And I actually want to start off with, we did watch almost this entire game, or at least a very large portion of it together.
That was that Alabama and Mississippi State game that was supposed to be a battle of the potentially elite quarterback prospects.
One of them played a lot better than the other.
Alabama wins this one 56-23.
Kamari Taylor did leave this game with an injury, and it sounds like he was banged up a little bit coming into this game, which...
I guess isn't that surprising because he has been hit a lot this year.
The line's not great, and he does run around quite a bit.
So he struggled in this one, though.
The stats don't necessarily show it, but 19 for 34 for 258 yards, three touchdowns, a couple interceptions, had a couple of – or at least one fumble or two fumbles.
I don't remember how many times he fumbled, but it definitely wasn't his best game.
Meanwhile, man – Keelan Russell was really freaking good.
He had a couple of throws in this game that would be a quarterback's best throw for the season.
he's just been hyper-efficient the past couple weeks.
Another week where he doesn't throw a ton of passes, 16 for 22, 285 yards, three touchdowns, had a short rushing touchdown.
Is he the best? Should he be the QB1 right now in all rankings, Keelan Russell?
He's my QB1.
Okay.
So yeah, I think so.
Um, yeah, I mean, I think he's just, he's looked awesome.
The first half against like Florida state wasn't great.
Um, but ever since then, he's just, Kentucky was a little, he had a couple of bad throws against Kentucky too.
Yeah,
that's fair.
Um, but yeah, I mean, I think, I think he looks like the best quarterback in college football right now.
