My Business Journey : The Good, The Bad and The UGLY

But in the past few weeks, I've really taken a break from social media.

I went on holiday, I would say like six weeks ago.

And I got back from my holiday and I was like, right, let's sit down and think about what to post.

And there was nothing for me to talk about.

I was like, there was no social media updates.

There was no trends.

There was nothing relevant.

I had spoken about every topic.

I just was like, what can I speak about? And that's the first time that's happened since I started my personal brand in like 2024.

I had nothing to speak about.

I had no motivation to post.

And I just hit a brick wall with it.

And yeah, it's been a good and a bad thing.

Like, In a good way, because I've not been posting as much, I've not been going on social media as much, I feel a bit calmer at the minute.

And I was actually speaking to my guest that I just had on, which I don't think that'll be out for a while, but about how I've been doing little things to stop me going on my phone that are really silly.

Like last night I was watching, what was I watching? Grown Ups.

and I was loom banding.

I brought some loom bands.

Well, someone gifted me some loom bands, a family member.

And it was just so therapeutic to just sit and just do something with my hands rather than just scroll constantly.

And I've been trying to buy things that I can occupy myself with, you know, like puzzles or colouring.

And I know it sounds so childish and there's some people that are probably like, oh, that's just ridiculous.

But it really does help.

Like, I feel like you have more time in the day.

My evenings feel so much longer now that I'm not just like scrolling and scrolling and scrolling for hours.
