Last weekend saw Reform hosting its annual conference in Birmingham, themed around what they plan to do during their first 100 days in power.

The party is operating on the assumption that Andy Burnham will call an election in 2027, and that they will win a majority.

However, recent polling has shown their support slipping.

Let's start off, however, um, with the story that has you at the center of it, which is this, uh, this development in court.

Just to, to give a recap, Bir- Birmingham City Council had sought an emergency injunction, um, with powers of arrest, uh, eh, specifically targeted at you guys, Ryan, and your, uh, fellow flaggers raising the English flag, St George's flag on lampposts, what the council in its legal papers calls public ar- public architecture, I think is, i- i- i- is, is the word they use.

Um, and this week you had your preliminary court hearing.

Very, very interestingly, however, is that the judge, Emma Kelly, sitting at, uh, Birmingham's High Court, adjourned the case, I think for three weeks to the very end of September.

And she's done this in, in defense of you guys, 'cause she said that the way that this is being done, and anyone watching the War Room will not be surprised at this, but anyone who absorbs their news solely from the mainstream press might be surprised.

But she did this basically, I think, um...

Well, she said it explicitly, 'cause she was concerned that you guys w- weren't gonna get a fair trial as is.

There are elements here to do with the European Convention on Human Rights to do with the, the fair trial.
