And that is because of the additional gross profit, I believe, that has been put in there by some of the Chinese brands that we represent.

Used cars, in true numbers terms... is up by 2.7%.

I mean, I think it's fair to say we're pretty good at used cars.

We have 20 rooftops and we sell 20,000 cars a year, which the Mortar Match are encompassed in that.

going, flooding to them.

And I mean, Harry, just thinking, we just talked about the, you know, the high-level companies numbers from the smmt with the the results and obviously one standout is the you know the volume that happened in the closing days of the month but particularly that growth in the fleet market you know taking still maintaining majority at 54.5 percent market share slightly down from 55.7 percent at this point september of last year but showing a 9.6 percent growth i mean What are you seeing and hearing from the Chinese entrance? I mean, you know, initially it was very much the private consumer market that they entered the market into the UK with, but they are very quickly moving now into that fleet and rental and business sector, aren't they? Yeah, absolutely.

I mean, it's anecdotal because I obviously talk to people and people will never...

We passed on them both.

[laughs] And I did talk myself out of that little Audi A3.

I do love it, but I think I'm starting to think more like a pre-dented Honda, [laughs] or an old Civic or a Corolla or some might, might make more sense.

It's gonna get some dings in it.

This is the new design language from Audi.

And the A3 is going to be very similar.

Look at that Corrado rear end.

This is why I asked Copilot to reimagine a Corrado.

A single firewall and a cowl point, one set of suspension mounting geometries, a standard floor stamping patterns, one heater box.

And onto that foundation Pieck loads the Skoda Octavia, the Audi A3, and the fourth-generation Golf, as well as the Bora, the Seat Toledo, the Leon, and the new Beetle.

Below the waistline, it was a goth.

The front bulkhead, the cowl, the steering column supports and the pedal box came straight off the shared platform.

The pressed steel front subframe bolted into the rails and located the engine and gearbox mounts in exactly the same positions used by the Golf Mk4 and Audi A3.

Under the bonnet sat the 1.8-litre 20-valve Turbo 4 from the EA113 family iron block, five valves per cylinder, the same unit that went in to the Golf GTI.

Well, actually, September's winners were primarily German.

And on the top three, we have two very, very similar models, the Audi A3 Sportback 1.5 TFSIe and the same A3, but the 30 TFSIe.

at 116 and that is a petrol vehicle so the first Audi was at 10.8 days to sell the second Audi was at 11.8 and in third place was a Citroen C3 1.2 collection start stop model at 12 days but I do have to highlight that we're looking here where they've been more than 30 sales um but i do have to highlight the average age for those vehicles for the uh top spot audi a3 was one month for the second spot audi a3 was three months and for the citroen c3 it was clearly a pre-reg because it was sub one month uh so i find that very interesting

Yeah, so we're talking about some pre-reg bargains on forecourse there, aren't we?

Worst car you've had?

An Audi A3.

Really? Yeah.

Actually, this is interesting because I just said diesel, but the reason it was the worst car was because I couldn't, I've forgotten the name of it now, the filter that you have to keep clearing out.

So, the really crucial takeaway here is how Audi managed to effectively decouple the inside from the outside.

Out on the street, the compact shell aligns perfectly with an A3 segment footprint, taking full advantage of those super short overhangs.

But step inside, and that 2.80-meter wheelbase gives you a genuinely class-above interior with true luxury segment legroom.

They call it maximizing the space at the bore.

On one side, you've got the nostalgic purists.

They're pretty heartbroken over the loss of the original's tiny, small car ethos.

They argue that pushing the length to 4.32 meters is a serious case of size creep into A3 territory, and they are very vocal about the new, somewhat polarizing front-end design.

But on the other side, the broader EV community is celebrating its pragmatic evolution.
