Buckets is back with a look at the top players in the NBA heading into the 2026-27 season! Action Network NBA senior writer Matt Moore welcomes Brandon Kravitz to discuss the top of the MVP odds…
Let's get into, uh, the top of the board here, is we're gonna talk about, uh, MVP and the market.
I think we're seeing a little bit of variation in recent years in terms of how the award's have been handled, and them breaking some of the, the, the markers, but MVP has largely held up, and here's the reality: don't pick 'em before they're 22, don't pick 'em after they're 29 That's it.
We'll talk about those guys, 'cause they have to be included in this conversation 'cause they're amongst the top five players in the world.
Uh, every winner has recorded at least 1.1 stocks per game, which is a surprising fact that I found today.
For the vast majority, with the exception of Westbrook and Jokic, they're almost always a top three seed.
We had those guys, and everybody was like, "Oh, this is a whole new era," and then it went back to like, no, if you win a bunch of games, then you're really good.
