I unfortunately or fortunately am not participating in NHL Fantasy this year just because I think it takes up a little bit too much of my time.
So we're not doing, I'm not doing fantasy, but we will keep track of how Ishan's doing and his team.
We'll cue you guys in on some of his close matchups and maybe some of the waiver wire picks that he has for certain weeks.
For sure.
But at the beginning of the week, we were blessed with some news that Conor Berdard is your new captain of the Chicago Blackhawks.
It came a little bit later than I thought it would, but it was probably written into his contract somewhere that he would get the captaincy if he had signed long-term in Chicago.
So maybe not the most deserving guy to get captaincy, but I think he'll be able to grow into it, and Chicago really wants him to be the face of the team moving forward, and so I think that it's a natural progression in his path towards being that face of the franchise.
I think he said playing with Patrick Kane as well, who has an A as well, is going to be a great experience for him.
He's really excited about that, and I think it's Patrick Kane and Tyler Bertuzzi They have both the A's.
But I think, yeah, bringing in those two guys and then putting a younger guy with the C is something kind of like Boiler's Ass.
But I think Bernard will continue to be the face of the franchise for a long time.
Yeah, and then on Thursday, Drew Doughty was announced as the LA Kings captain, so very, very well-deserved.
Kopitar was in the spotlight and well-deserved captain for many years, I believe 15 or 20 years of that team.
