Great stuff from, uh, former Florida Gator receiver Chris Doeren, SEC Network host.

Like we just hired a new coach, try to compete, try to get a great dra- draft pick, see some growth out of the younger guys.

But like we're not competing and it's just such a fall from grace from what we had two weeks ago.

[laughs] Summerall doesn't strike me as a, uh, trying to fit a square peg into a round hole kind of guy.

And I feel like after a month into the season when things kind of started getting a little bit hairy, you realize he had a lot of round, round holes that, that didn't fit what the future of the program's gonna look like.

And, um, I think that as fans you, you want to, you want to project like what trajectory you're on and there's not really development to be done this year anymore.

We know that a lot of them aren't gonna be here next year, um, that aren't fits with what we're trying to do on defense.

They're not fit, uh, fits compet- competitive, competitor wise So I, I think that that kind of adjusts your, your expectations when you realize that the guys that you're going to battle with aren't the guys that are, that are gonna be a part of the future plans of the program.

We only played six games, so what are we supposed to do, just quit? And just like show up and expect to lose every game? Like, absolutely not.

And I know like realistically if we lost by a touchdown, you know, we're 10-point dogs, I think 10 and a half points.

If we went in there and lost on like a last second field goal or something I'd be like, "Wow, we really showed that we can compete." But like that's exactly what Billy Napier was doing, like he was just, he got blown off the field a couple times, but he just lost every game but we were like in all of them technically.
