Right now, we are on the precipice of the release of Crystal Lake, the brand new Friday the 13th prequel series starring Linda Cardellini on Peacock that is releasing all eight episodes on October 12th.
My goodness, how exciting.
The first piece of official Friday the 13th content that's been released in 17 years, people.
How insane is that? And so I feel like right now there is another opportunity for someone to come along with the microphone and get super specific and throw their hat in the ring and create a community around people that want to talk about a very niche thing, a subgenre within a subgenre that is the Friday 13th franchise and horror and everything that expands out of that world.
You know, being able to talk about a variety of different things through the lens of our love of horror movies.
So that's what I'm going to do.
October 12th, all eight episodes are dropping.
We're going to cover every episode of that show with a volume of the podcast.
So there's going to be plenty of coverage come October 12th.
Guys.
it's spooky season.
I'm putting up my Halloween decorations tomorrow.
You know, we got some bangers coming out, uh, onslaught, a very interesting movie, heavily inspired by Friday the 13th.
I just saw on Friday.
I'm going to review here on this volume of the podcast.
Uh, Resident Evil, Zack Kreger's follow-up to Weapons comes out in just a couple weeks.
What an exciting time to be a horror fan, to be a movie fan.
We've had just this incredible run this year with these absolutely box office, expectation-shattering films like Obsession, like Backrooms, so many other great horror movies.
It is just...
It's just such an exciting time.
I go back to that question is is does the world rather really need another movie podcast? Maybe not.
But I think what we can do here is going to be a lot of fun and is going to be really special.
And once again, I'm doing this for me.
And I think by doing it for me, it's going to really resonate with a lot of you guys out there.
That's the goal.
