The challenge, and I'm sure Josh is, in terms of building a list and building a game style and progressing through, or at the end of the day, you're all rated by win-loss.

But his Dockers journey is unlikely to be over.

Carr is the son of former Fremantle halfback Matthew Carr, the nephew of Josh Carr.

He's yet to make his senior debut, but it is understood the club is likely to retain the father-son product on their rookie list.

again, I think it depends on where you're at.

So if you look at perhaps what Josh Carr's done, he needs an earlier start to make sure that they can implement, you know, reinforce the defensive part of the game but reinforce or get going on their offensive part.

Yeah.

If you're the new Brisbane coach, you're probably less worried about it and you're more worried about making sure that the timing's right and getting him physically ready to go rather than, you know, that coach might tweak their game style, but you wouldn't have thought, you know, if you're hearing, you know, the... that Cam Bruce, who's internal, he might tweak a little bit if he gets the role up there.

uh here is Zach on the hardest people um to tell that he was leaving the football club

yeah probably my teammates um probably the hardest and then obviously um Josh Carr as well like my head coach and he's my midfield coach for a few years as well and um I credit him to helping me become the player I've I've gotten to and he put a lot of work into me as well so probably them but I guess I had dinner with Ollie Wines and and sort of sat down with him and told him and um Yeah, I guess moving over, I was a sort of regional Vic kid.

He was pretty similar.

Can I just say as well that there's – a fair bit of trust that goes into that conversation that Zach Butters has with Ollie Wines and with, you know, his coach in Josh Carr and all that.

And I don't, like most people, you know, assume that he was definitely going to go.
