The Orioles are two games back of the third spot in the American League WildCard chase; the playoff path is still alive, and the next stretch could decide everything. In this episode, Justin…
The Orioles have put up nine runs on the Rangers, 11 runs in the series, which is kinda crazy to say if they scored one run the first and second game of the series, but w- we'll dive deep into that.
Three games out of the wild...
I, I wanted to say two.
Three games out of the wild card right now.
It could change.
It could change, for sure.
It could change.
It could change really quick.
What are you thinking right now?
I'm not gonna lie to you, like, th- again, this is what we've discussed, but I truly believe the Orioles really do control their destiny and that is something that is truly a gift.
Like, it's a gift in baseball when you're able to control your destiny, control, you know, "Hey, we actually have a shot at making the playoffs here.
We just gotta get hot.
We gotta win some games.
We gotta stretch through and get through some games that are gonna be hard.
Grind out some games, if anything." And oh my God, that dude just dropped a, a, a foul ball.
That is crazy.
Anyways, w- I was hoping a series win.
I was hoping for a sweep.
Didn't happen.
Uh, we lose the series against the Rangers, but a win tonight would be huge, especially heading towards Minnesota, who again, we beat two out of three in Baltimore, first series of the season.
So I'm really hoping we can just continue playing baseball the way we're playing tonight, not Saturday and Friday because the fundamentals of baseball have not been with the Orioles as of late.
It's been a lot cleaner.
The offense has been incredible.
The defense has been very good as well.
