Texas Tech Just Got DOUBLE DOSE of GOOD NEWS! | Red Raiders Football

Drake, a lot of people were early to sell their Texas Tech Red Raiders stock.

And that might have been a mistake.

They looked really good this weekend.

They are still undefeated.

The road to staying undefeated is very clear.

Big one this weekend that we need to talk about at some point this week.

But I want to focus specifically on Texas Tech.

Are they back to last year? Have the kinks been ironed out? Did people sell their stock too quickly? What are your thoughts?

Yeah, one of the reasons I never sold my stock in Texas Tech is their defense and the way they've graded defensively this season.

I'm a big analytics guy.

EPA is what I follow a lot.

This efficiency metric that can tell the full story on a team like Texas Tech or a team like BYU.

And one of the reasons that I picked BYU to beat Notre Dame was because of efficiency metrics and namely efficiency metrics on third or fourth down.

This is what I'm following.

Like, nobody freak out even on the scoreboard because the way to tell if a football team will stand the test of time is their efficiency metrics.

And Texas Tech has gotten better and better every week.

And they even graded super well after their close win against Oregon State or close win against Houston.

And what do we learn now? Houston's a top 15 caliber team and another really good win for Texas Tech.

Oregon State's a top 25 caliber team and a great road win for Texas Tech.

That Colorado has a great defense and Tech was able to rally in the second half to win by 22 points in cover.

Arizona State, Kenny Dillingham, a ton of infrastructure there.

Tech is a good football team, and they continue to get better.

I'll say this.

Texas Tech now is a great football team.

They've gone from good to great, and it's because of that defense.
