Mack Leftwich

I thought the run game in the first half was more on the running backs than it was, or the running backs than the offensive

line, I guess, rather than it being on Mack Leftwich.

Now, I don't love Mack Leftwich's offense.

That's not new for anyone.

I don't love his style of running game.

Got to talk Thomas Castellanos as we continue to expect his role to grow in some sort of undefined way.

We heard that from Joey McGuire and Mack Leftwich as well.

I think Coach Leftwich even pointed out a much better week of practice last time around as compared to, you know, when he was here about a half hour off the bus, so to speak.

Hope everybody out there has caught up on our defensive conversation following hearing from Red Raider head coach Joey McGuire, defensive coordinator Shil Wood and offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich to begin the week.

We will get to the offensive side of things on today's episode.

Want to get to the QB through two weeks, want to get to the run game through two weeks, and want to get to what, in general, has been described in the same way the bigger picture is being [chuckles] described, Chris, as a work in progress.

And back to some of what we touched on when it comes to those small things that have added up to some big things that maybe you don't like so far, somehow, through two winning efforts, but that are being described as correctable.

Will they or won't they? Only time will tell.

Let's begin the convo taking a listen to offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich and Red Raider head coach Joey McGuire talking about the offensive effort so far.

It's a work in progress, you know? We're, we're replacing some guys and we're kind of figuring out, um, who we are and, and what the pieces that we have.

And on this episode, we're in a defensive kind of mode as we did get to hear from Red Raider dignitaries to kick off the week.

We'll be getting to sound from Red Raider head coach Joey McGuire, defensive coordinator Shilh Wood, also of course upcoming offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich.

We will stick with some of what we saw in Corvallis on the defensive side to get things started.

Because there were a lot of things that might've been jarring, but some of the statistics and numbers we saw at the end of the day for that passing attack by the Beavers, taking your boy aback a little bit, even with some expectation it would be a challenge.

So it was very equally split on that front.

I do believe, and this is straight from the horse's mouth, I think Mack Leftwich said on Monday that it will be a pretty even workload for those guys unless someone gets a hot hand.

So he said there will be games where, OK, Cam's really, you know, rolling.

So we're going to keep him in a little bit more or whatever.
