The problem was that they failed to stay focused upon the real things.
They chose to get focused upon that which is ungodly, and they failed because of that.
They had limited information compared to what we have today.
That might have helped them some, but I doubt it because their problem was spiritual, not academic.
They failed to rear up their children correctly.
Therefore, they had the first murder in their family.
And they made excuses for their imperfect actions.
So yes, they were as we are in physical capabilities.
But much lacking as we are, we can make better spiritual decisions than they.
