So if you've been tracking on social or you listen to TBC Sermons Weekly, you've probably seen that our oldest daughter, Audrey, who had been a prodigal, for around eight to 10 years and not like an easy prodigal or like a, to a far off land prodigal, had a powerful encounter with Jesus last spring.

And it's literally, we left for a trip, we went to the Philippines, I was preaching in the Philippines, we went up to Japan to play for a couple of days and we came home to a completely different person And it was like addictions had fallen off.

And she has been testifying and sharing her testimony and sharing the gospel with her lost friends and devouring her Bible.

And it's literally like... um a brand new person is in our lives or in some ways we got our little girl back that little girl that seemed to vanish when she was around 15. um and so we thought it might be helpful to talk about Praying for prodigals.

One of the things that's come up a ton since Audrey shared her testimony at Made Alive and then in services is it feels like dozens and dozens of people have reached out to both celebrate with us.

And so, I mean, I've been on two calls this week with dads who love Jesus, who have... poured into their kids who did the date night thing who did the family devotionals as best they can and have children at various ages um who men are choosing the world in a way that's just crushing their spirit right now And I think I've cried at every one of those calls because I could still feel the pain of it and the helplessness in it.

But we wanted to talk a little bit about like what it looked like to pray in those days.

And maybe it would be helpful to talk about the progression of like, as we watched her drifting, what we were grasping at and trying to do.

She's going to join us on the podcast a couple of episodes from now, and she can just tell her story.

On our end of things, specifically around contending prayer and maybe some of the things early on that we probably misunderstood might be helpful.
