Third Quarter Favs with Renee from It's Book Talk

It's been a summer of nonfiction reading and backlist reading, saving my reading, basically.

Yeah, okay.

So if anyone is listening and they are tired or just you don't want to hear about new releases, well, I am bringing one new release, but it is a memoir.

Other than that, I have all backlists and then nonfiction, but...

I went through a period where I have a lot of stressors going on in my personal life.

And I was trying to find a fiction, sampling, sampling.

And then finally, I just went to nonfiction.

And oh my gosh, that has saved me.

It has saved me.

So I'm bringing a couple of those today.

But I don't know what's going on with me and new releases this summer.

I DNF'd a lot of new releases.

Wow.

I have a couple fall reads that I read early that were disappointing.

And I will just say one of them is Stations by Louise Kennedy.

Oh,

no.

I know.

You know, I was looking forward to that so much.

Because we're both obsessed with trespasses.

That's a

bummer.

Yeah, that's a bummer.

And I believe I shared over on my Substack some of my thoughts on that.
