Pink Bible on the Barstool-A Celebrity Story, a Divine Appointment & The Trap of Offense

And I said to my daughter, "What do you think?" And she's like, "Perfect." So we went in.

We sat down, and here's the other thing, is I've been really trying not to drink.

And I've just been on this total health kick, and in my mind, I was just going back and forth, "Should I? Shouldn't I? Should I? Shouldn't I? Should I just get a Chardonnay or a rosé or just get something non-alcoholic?" And so, um, she was looking at the menu, and she ordered her drink, and I just still was unsure.

And I finally just said, "You know what?" I saw they had this, I think it's called, like, Athletic, um, non-alcoholic beer, and I really like them.

I get the lemon ones.

They have them at Postino, and also I bought them, I think, at Trader Joe's.

So I said, "I'll just have that non-alcoholic beer," and we're like, "Perfect." So we're just sitting there, and as we're sitting there, the bar got more and more crowded to where there was literally only, like, one seat left in the whole bar, and it was right next to me on my left.

And within a few minutes, this woman came and said, "Is it, is this seat open?" And I was like, "Yes, go ahead.

Sit down." And so literally she goes to sit down, and she puts her pink Bible on the, on the bar.

And this is what I forgot to tell you, though.

This is so important.

Two things.

One is while I was getting ready, I literally prayed and said, "Lord," like, "direct me to where we should go," because I just was not- ... feeling it on my own.

So I was super specific with this prayer, and I prayed, "Send us to the right place where there'll be a really good vibe, and direct any people that we're supposed to meet our way," 'cause I've done this prayer before, and it works.

And so literally, she sits down with her pink Bible, and she orders a sparkling water, like this giant bottle of sparkling water, and then a pretty glass with a lime in it.

And at first, and I swear, this is how specific my life is, I felt like it was an angel just saying, like, "I'm watching over you.

Don't get alcohol." Because it was so...

I was like, "This is crazy.

How many times do you sit at a bar in Scottsdale and have somebody put their pink Bible down?" So I was gonna say something to her, but I, I knew my daughter would be annoyed 'cause she, she and I were in a conversation.

So I was just listening out of one ear.

And it was kinda cute 'cause the bartender noticed her Bible, and so did the guy to the left of her, and they both made little comments about it.

[smacks lips] And so we literally had our drink, and we were gonna go somewhere else too.

So as we finished and paid our tab, and she's literally reading her Bible.

I see it opened, you know, to, like, mark something on the [laughs] on the, on the bar.

And so I knew I had to say something to her before I left 'cause it was so obvious.
