30 June 2026: Scorching Hot Takes for the Scorching Summer!

We've got a good bit to talk about tonight, I think, but before we do any of that...

It's the Auburn Fun Meter.

It's our weekly look at how much fun it is to be an Auburn fan right this moment.

Scale of 0 to 10.

I don't think we've ever had a zero.

Of course, we didn't have the Auburn Fun Meter when we started this show in 2012 either.

We might have had a couple of zeros.

That Texas A&M game, man, I might have been a zero.

Negative two on that week.

I'm going to say, again, it's midsummer.

We're in the depths of the offseason.

You know, some recruiting still going well and some basketball stuff, but there's a limit to how fun it can be as an Auburn fan right now.

So I'm going to say five and a half.

I was thinking somewhere in the five range, yeah.

And it's just because we had two or three weeks there where we were getting all these big surprise recruit commitments, and that was rocking, and we were higher up.

But I think it's kind of settling down now.

We're getting close to full, right? There may still be one or two.

There's still one or two big fish in the pond.

We're going to see what, we'll talk about that.

But it's pretty much kind of closing down, coming to an end.

And now that the Blue Bloods have taken the players that they want, teams like Alabama can step in and they can get the leftovers now.

And you know, if you look at Alabama's recruiting this year, they're going to have to get some leftovers if they want anybody in this recruiting class because I feel bad for little brother, but they don't have anybody.

It's a sad story, man.

It is a sad story about a sad program with sad fans that make me sad to think they exist.

So more about that coming up anyway.
