What is your work and what opportunities are you helping to shape?

So in Richmond, we are launching RVA Builds, which is initially going to be a pre-apprenticeship program for high school students in skilled trades.

And the vision is that this will eventually become youth registered apprenticeship.

But this pre-apprenticeship is really designed to be an on-ramp to a RAP program in skilled trades.

work? Honestly, it's serendipitous in some ways, but As a 10th grader, I was offered an opportunity to attend a pre-engineering academy.

And I made all of these excuses why that wasn't the right choice for me.

And the director of that program, it was a brand new program.
