I saw it first presented in a case that we were litigating in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court by Ron Fine, who was then the lawyer in the position that Courtney is in.
And so in the conversation with Courtney, you'll hear her unpack the essence of this argument and why under the existing rules of the Supreme Court, under the principles of Citizens United, This case should be decided to uphold the initiative and to allow Maine and any state, including the federal government, to limit the size of contributions to independent political action committees, thereby ending super PACs.
