Have you ever wondered...
Is life just a perpetual struggle street? Like here we are in the northern beaches, living the dream, many would think, access to the best beauty the world has to offer.
You know, where we fit in a sunrise swim or surf before work with a coffee in hand for your beachside walk to get that morning sunrise peak for your social feeds.
From the outside, life looks pretty breezy.
But let's be real, it costs to live here.
You rent with two other people because you need to make ends meet.
You fight to get a stake in the ground to own property, only to find yourself burning the candle at both ends to pay off the mortgage.

And I really appreciated the reflection because it points to me a heart that desires to follow Jesus but understands that it's going to cost.
It's not nothing to see here.
It's I see it and ouch.
And they either lead to life or death.
So what does that look like in something as ordinary as contentment? The question I have for you today is, how much do you allow the world to direct how you live? Because if the theme is our life should be that nothing matters more than Jesus, not because we're holier than thou, because if you spend enough time with any of us, you'll quickly find out that we're truly in need of Jesus' transformational heart and power.
where we engage in practices that keep us drawing near to Him, and we live others-minded rather than self-focused.
But let's be honest, we struggle to be obedient to God and trust him within the framework he provides.
