Matthew 6

That's in Matthew 22 as well.

Matthew 6 is where it says, seek first the kingdom.

Put God first.

If you look at it from God's perspective, what a time to be alive.

Let him seek first the kingdom of God and your righteousness.

Knowing that everything else he needs will be added on to him according to Matthew 6 and 33.

Give him a heart that loves your word, that delights in prayer, and longs to serve your purpose.

Make him a man of integrity, a strong godly leader, and a vessel of honor fit for the master's use.

Lord, ignite his heart and unquenchable desire for kingdom living.

Let him seek first the kingdom of God and your righteousness.

Knowing that everything else he needs will be added on to him according to Matthew 6 and 33.

Give him a heart that loves your word, that delights in prayer.

Then your Father who sees everything will reward you.

Matthew 6, 6.

How can moms pray? Every time they turn around, a child is hanging off of them, asking for something, yelling at each other, possibly mom.

It's so difficult to be present with God, focus on praying, let alone listening to God in those prayers, because you have to be present with your kids.

How do you do that as a mother? If we lock ourselves in our bathroom, bedroom, closet, or any other room, our children will find us.

They are like bloodhounds.

We have very few options available to us to follow the directions found in Matthew 6.

Here are some things to try.

And how sad is that? And it reminded me specifically of a verse.

I believe it's Matthew 6.

I can have Jacob pull it up.

But I think this was kind of like the cornerstone and the pillar of like God just reminding me because I'm also going to be real in saying this is something that I've been currently struggling with.

But Jesus talked about money a lot.

And the verse that Taylor and I were specifically talking about when we were viewing these homes.

was Matthew 6, 19 through 21.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.

Yeah, I was thinking about that because I wanted to dig into even just scripturally, biblically, and there's so many different scripture verses about the eye.

And one of them I kept going back to is in Matthew 6, and it talks about the eye is the lamp of the body.

And I just kept thinking about that, the lamp of the body, Jesus connects that with what we take in through our eyes, right? with what fills us internally, you know, that light or the darkness that we have.

And so if we're taking something in that's full of hope and redemption and restoration and there's that element to it, how are we internalizing that and seeing it rather than if we take something in that's gruesome, you know, gratuitous, nudity, sexuality, you know, that is the darkness.

For the kingdom of God.

So, and Jesus says in Matthew 6, verse 33, that when you do all of these things, he says all other things will be added.

So the way of the world, and Jesus explains, he says the way of the world is that they seek after these things first.

And do they get it? Yes, they get it.

You know, You know, worry is just a world's normal response.

In Matthew 6, let's read Matthew 6 because it actually explains it.

Jesus is speaking about food, clothing, and future, the ordinary pressures of life.

And he says this, so don't worry.

Don't think provision like some of these crazy nut jobs on TV that are talking about their prosperity and everything that God's going to give to them.

I'm talking about exactly what is said in Matthew 6.

God will provide for the things you need, not the things you want, the things you need.

our shepherd, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, says in whatever capacity that want may be, he knows what it is.
