An Hour of English Listening from Peru (Walk and Talk English)

Now, obviously, most of the writing will be in Spanish, and I also might make a few mistakes, but hey, even native English...

Let's go down here.

Even native English speakers make mistakes.

I spoke to a lot of people today as a tourist.

They were from Peru, and they were helping me find my way around.

I was on a tour, and they often apologized, "Oh, I'm sorry.

I still make mistakes." And I think that is one thing that many English learners have in common, is that they think their English isn't perfect.

And I always say, "Well, guess what? My English isn't perfect either." This looks like some kind of pastry and tea shop it says.

Should we have a look around? Hopefully, they won't be mad.

Um, they are playing, uh, music.

So maybe we won't stay here too long, but ah, nice little cozy place.

But as an English learner, I would say your English is probably better than you think, and it's okay if you make mistakes every so often.

It's okay if you have an accent, because guess what? I have an accent too.

I don't think these are actual Inca ruins anymore.

I could be wrong.

Ooh, if we go up there, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to breathe.

But there is a big Inca temple, unfinished.

Maybe we will end there.

But, uh, yeah, I, I walked all the way up.

I didn't go all the way to the top, of course.

I think we are at about fifteen thousand feet here.

And this is what I would call off the beaten path.

Certainly, if you remember where I started, we were off the beaten path.
