Comedian, NPR panelist Paula Poundstone

Thank you so much for joining us today.

Hey, thanks for having me.

So is there anything you wanted to add about that exchange with Sally Field? Yes, that is quite the long name for a dog, I would agree.

Yeah, it is the long name for a dog.

You know what? Sally Field was great.

She was so much fun.

I would have...

I would have guessed that she wouldn't want us to ask her questions about The Flying Nun because she had certainly within the, you know, within her career sort of tried to distance herself from, you know, the fact of that television show.

She was so game.

Like anything we asked, she responded to it.

She was very funny.

She was really, really fun.

It was exciting.

And I got to ask her, About the time I bumped into her in the gap years ago.

Yes.

And she remembered you, of course.

Yes.

Very much so.

She

said yes over in the denim section.

I said, yes, that was me.

Yes.

Well, you get to talk to so many great stars and interact with all these stars and everyday people through Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me.

Is there any like big highlight that stands out to you when you think of Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me? What comes to mind?

Um, you know, uh, I'll tell you, we did, um, well, we've done Carnegie Hall a number of times and I've been lucky enough to be on the panel a few times when we've been at Carnegie Hall.
