A missing bottle mysteriously reappears, a ghost gets a little too handsy, and a paranormal investigation at the Old Jail in St. Augustine may lead to a message from beyond the grave. Plus, a listener…
Hey, Carrie, Donna, and the gang.
You may or may not remember my story about the ghostly entity that more or less molested me at my work a couple of years ago.
For context, I'm the manager of an upscale wine and liquor store... creepmom's dream job here in hattiesburg the incident i referred to was when i felt a finger touch my butt and slide downwards onto the back of my thigh i thought it was one of the two co-workers standing behind me had done it but both swore up and down that he hadn't over the years more things have happened such as seeing people walking around the store when there's no one there etc A few more significant things have happened the last few weeks and I thought I'd write in to y'all.
This might get a little long, but I know you live for that.
Let me give a little context to how the store is set up.
The front part of our store is our display area and the back part are our various storage rooms.
One of these storage rooms contains red, rosé, and sweet wines.
The room is dominated by five shelving units in the middle of the room, and also along the western and northern walls, the shelf itself faces south.
Along the southern and eastern walls are cases of red wine stacked at various heights, depending on how much inventory we have at any given time.
There's a little overflow of cases along a portion of the western wall, three cases wide, and a northern wall, again, three cases wide.
There are two shelves in the middle of the room that mostly contain red wines.
There are two shelves along the western wall that contain mostly red wines, but also rosé.
There's one shelf along the northern wall, and this shelf contains sweet wines.
The next three shelves going down is reserved for Moscato and the other non-Riesling sweets.
And the bottom shelf is reserved for sweet one and a half liter bottles.
So several weeks ago, we were looking for a bottle of Sweet Walter strawberry wine.
There was one left in inventory, but we couldn't find it anywhere.
We searched for a week, and that bottle was nowhere in the store.
After that, we took it out of inventory and moved on.
A new case was ordered, but at that time, the state-run company from which we had ordered our cases was still having extreme delivery issues, so it was taking a while for the new case to come in.
About a week after that, I was looking for another bottle of sweet wine, no idea which one now, and I found it on the middle shelf of the sweets.
I turned around to leave the storeroom and then stopped in my tracks.
Out of the corner of my eye, I had seen something on the top shelf that looked awfully familiar.
