I've been living with prostate cancer for about 13 or 14 years now, and it's always been fine, but I do have these checks.
And the problem has always been that blokes think that if they are threatened with prostate cancer, they're going to have to have the doctor's finger up their bum.
And that kind of used to be true, but it's not a very good check because if you think about it, the prostate is like a, like a little apricot or something like that.
And so I, and I thought, "Well, I've always been campaigning for more awareness for prostate cancer.
So I phoned the Prostate Society and I said, "Can you put me on ro- local radio for a day [laughs] and I will go from ro- uh, I will speak to all these local radio stations-
... who are listening." And so I had a whole day when I s- said to the men of Britain, "You don't have to have the finger up the bum anymore." [laughs] And I felt, [laughs] I felt so good about doing it.
