But yeah, the pride of my hometown, Brockton, Massachusetts, AJ Debansa, was the number one overall pick in the draft, and he makes the Wizards a team we need to watch closely.

Davis won a title in 2020 with LeBron in LA, but the story is the same every year with AD.

Will he play enough games to make this team formidable? Last season, he played just 20, just nine the year before that, and just 42 the year before that.

That's 71 games in the last three seasons, which is less than one really full season.

After all, they only won 20-- only 17 last year, and this team is done tanking.

And Bub Carrington, you know, you're right, he kinda, you know, said the quiet part out loud.

But look, with AJ Debansa, with AD, the other high-priced veteran, Trey Young, he signed f- for four years for a total of almost $213 million.

I think at some point they may wish they hadn't have done that, but there you have it.

Keshawn George is an up-and-coming star, while Alex Sar should benefit playing with AD, practicing against him.

And there's definitely some depth with DeAndre Ayton, Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, and Chris Middleton, who returns to the Wiz after, you know, going basically to the airport in Dallas during the off-season and then [chuckles] moving on.

So look, if Debansa is all that, if AD stays healthy, if Young runs the offense instead of trying to score too much, this team could double its win total from last season and approach 35 wins and a play-in spot.

I think they have a, they have a legit chance to double their win total from last season and get out into the 30 win, uh, period with this lineup.

For me, it's gonna be, as Bruce kind of alluded to, the key to this season for them is how do they mix the old with the veterans? Or the, or the old with the young, excuse me.

Um, you know, they had 55% of their minutes last season came from rookies and second-year players.
