You know, the Bible speaks about sin, and we may take all of the sins that are discussed in the Bible and narrow them down to just three categories.


Another category may be those sins that can be forgiven, may be forgiven, but are not yet forgiven because the conditions of pardon have not yet been met.




In the Old Testament, idolatry was said to be a sin against God in Exodus chapter 23 and verse 33.


When in Egypt, Reuben reminded his brothers, didn't I tell you not to do this thing and sin against the child? Talking about their settling their brother into slavery.

There are also sins against the commandment of the Lord, as they are called in Leviticus 4 and verse 2.

And the Bible warns us about sins against another, as they are called in 1 Samuel 2 and verse 25.

And 1 Corinthians chapter 8 and verse 12 cautions us about sins against our own brethren, the weaker brethren.

Fornication is a sin against one's own body according to 1 Corinthians 6 and verse 18.

And there is that sin against the Holy Spirit Mentioned in Matthew 12 and other passages as the teaching of Jesus is related to us in the accounts of the gospel.
