It's not on Game Pass, so it doesn't count! We haven't done a bonus episode in a while, but for a turn-based tactical Star Wars game, both of our hosts are willing to make an exception. Developed by…
Yeah.
My first like kind of touches on this, which is one of the difficulty modes is called Beskar mode.
Yeah.
And I was like, okay, so yeah, permadeath could be a thing, right, in this, where you lose a character and they ain't coming back.
Yeah, but even on the regular difficulty, permadeath is on by default, which I thought was fascinating.
So I was like, okay.
I mean, I kept it on for this hour.
As did I. Yeah, so interesting.
And I got to say, I'm surprised if you wrote this down or not, but the game starts right for the menu, which I thought was really cool.
Like that transition, like you're watching a scene that's going to happen as the menu fades away.
I was like, oh, wow.
I don't know how many games we've seen that do that, but I appreciate it every time.
It's just such a cool
thing.

Yeah.
and i will say as the resident star wars nerd between us um it is full of really good like haha references uh so like they make a reference to pong krell uh for all my clone wars fans out there uh it has the opening sequence with like all the starships and fighting at each it's like that looks exactly like the opening of revenge of the sith like it's just got a lot of little things built into it.
Um, and I will mention later why that's the case in my little other thoughts.
Um, but I was very pleased with the, uh, the level of the attention to detail, you know, in the, in the writing and the references, it's not just surface level.
schlock like it's no they they did their research
