Nick van CuylenburgHostWell, it's been quite a few months, hasn't it? And we have been working away busily in the background, recording when we can, and now we're ready with 12 new episodes recorded with just the most wonderful high-caliber guests.
And we're so proud and so excited to share what we've recorded for this season.
Goodness me, it's been incredible, hasn't it? Like, the, the, the quality of the stories that people are willing to share and just the vulnerability.
Every episode, I think I learnt something, and, and there was some element of surprise with each of these great humans-
Um, do you want to take us through again the, uh, the concept of this podcast and what we're trying to achieve?
[laughs] We're called You're a Good Kid because, well, we're very interested in our childhoods and how they shape who we become.
As a clinical psychologist, I talk about this every day with my clients, and I think there's just so much value in looking back at our stories and the moments that are influential in, in forming who we are and how we think and, uh, and how we feel.
And of course, one of the special things about our podcast, Nick, is getting people to read a letter to their child selves.
So we end every episode with our guests reading a letter to their younger selves.
And look, it's always just such a highlight and really a privilege to hear what people have to say.
Also, I think, you know, we've had quite a few creative, uh, and unique approaches to that task this season.
That's it, and we, we really give people that flexibility, don't we? Just however they wanna do it and as a, a lovely end note to the episode, uh, without commentary from us.
