But you got an email related to your sermon, which we love getting engagement around our sermons.

And it was talking about a part in your intro where you joked and talked about where you and Alan land politically.

And they just said, they asked whether you could clarify what you were saying around voting left or right.

It was a really good question to ask because I did in the intro say very clearly I vote left, my husband votes right.

And then I said that he was wrong, which was a joke and it was created for a laugh.

But yeah, Christians are on a whole spectrum of the way that they vote, the way that they see politics.

And I know that it's always been a topic of pain, conversation and pain in our household.

And so, yeah, I also think the scriptures that I used throughout the sermon was... often to the marginalized and the poor, which can lead people to think left.

But the point that I was making right from the beginning and again and again is that biblical politics, or from the book Reimagining Biblical Politics, is not about left or right at all.

Even the idea of courageous resistance versus consistent resistance engagement, what we're talking about today, they're different.

So I do think that the point is going to Scripture, looking at what people are saying.

Does it line up with what Jesus is saying, what the values of the kingdom are, and voting accordingly.

Thanks for adding that kind of nuance and insight Um, I love that you and Alan are a great example of having that sort of political difference, maybe in, in sort of your, where you would normally vote, but you have a beautiful marriage and, uh, just an awesome relationship.

So I think that adds strength to the idea that we can disagree, um, politically, we can have like different ways that we might vote.

And, um, so if you could do that, then we can all be in church and necessarily disagree.
