It’s been a minute since the last episode of *While My Batteries Charge*, and there’s a LOT to catch up on. In this episode, Tony talks about the 10th annual Great Lakes Gauntlet, the mud, the mayhem, and some of the mini crawler competitions that made the weekend so much fun. He also dives into the newly released CompFrog hard bodies, why they were created, how the short and long versions came together, and what builders are already doing with them. There’s also plenty of RC talk from the past couple of months, including Horizon RC Fest, a 205-foot ARRMA Typhon 6S long jump, the Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma, the new SCX10.3 Jeep Cherokee XJ, Furitek releases, FMS crawlers, Hobby Plus Ford rally trucks, RC NASCAR, Mojave GROMs, lap timing systems, and even a 70+ mph hydroplane. We haven't talked about, uh, on the podcast, one of them being the, uh, you 34 miss Illinois hydro boat that goes 70 miles an hour.

They're not a huge boat person other than I like to bash RC boats.

Um, Um, and so they asked if I wanted to review one and I thought it would probably just be like one of the pro boat, 24 inch, you know, bash it, go kind of, kind of fast with it, rip it, you know, torpedo it underwater, just have fun.

I have the perfect place for boats.

I mean, I'm right on the water.

And so that's why I like running the RC boats is because I don't have to go anywhere to do it.

I can just go in my backyard and do it.

And, um, this thing came in.

I'm like, I have to do research.

I have to do a lot of, a lot of research.

And I, you know, this is a way above my wheelhouse in that.

It's not just a basher.

This is like a race boat, 70 miles an hour.

And that sketches me out.

Even cars going at 70 miles an hour.

RC cars is a little sketchy.

It, Things get out of control fast.

Well, you do that.

They, you know, break on the ground and you go pick them up, whatever.

It's floating now upside down or in a billion pieces in the water.

And you're trying to retrieve that or do whatever you can to get it back.

Just a different ballgame, right? So I'm wanting to make sure I am read up on this as much as I possibly can be before I go into it.
