Unimog

So there's the short comp frog and then the long comp frog, and the difference being one of them has a longer bed on it with a cage and – Some of this was set up with definitely necessity in mind because of it being comp-oriented.

It's all based on a Unimog, and I wanted a Unimog that I could run.

In fact, I really wanted the Nacho Unimole, but they're just impossible to get your hands on, and people that have them hold on to them.

And so I was like, you know what? I waited a long time.

So there's a couple things that I really dig, right? So I love the XJs.

That came out.

Unimogs, they kind of wouldn't make that for me, so we made our own.

That's the Comfrog.

So we wanted to keep very things up above the board.

Rubicon Trail Foundation had their Unimog.

And they donated the pieces off of that.

That was thousands and thousands of dollars to go to it.

Yeah.

We needed a custom-sized tank for our trailer, and we needed it stainless.

So lessons learned when RTF built the Unimog, they just bent a tank up out of carbon steel.

That tank has a lot of leaks in it.

So all of a sudden there's this, these millions of dollars of aid money coming in, but they'd had no way to distribute it.

So I got a job in the projects team, and, um, we jumped in a Unimog.

We drove up over the highlands from Dili, um, from Suai to Dili, um, went to the hardware stores in Dili, and basically bought up all this bloody carpentry gear and-

floating about.

We've had a couple Unimogs.

I mean, one that was every bit of 15 feet tall.

Oh, it

kind of roll.

Would it be yellow? I think Unimogs are awesome.

They're cool.

Yeah,

Or if the Tundra or a 79 series is still a little bit soft for you, maybe you need the biggest, toughest, most hardcore money can buy.

It's a Unimog.

And as I was saying before, this is the answer to the Ranger tailgating problem.

Imagine having a Unimog tailgate you.

I want to see every Ranger tailgater approach from behind by a Unimog and tailgate the Ranger just to make them feel what it's like.

Yeah.

Okay, technically, yes, they are a truck.

And some of the statistics that go along with a Unimog and the capacities is just mind-boggling.

And defence hardware costs money.

One of my Lessons from my military service was the hate of Unimog trucks because a lot of my soldiers died in training and on ops in Unimog trucks.

Great German truck, not a combat military truck.

We bought a civilian truck, painted them green and then tan and sent them on ops.
