Finding Your Voice: Sandee Facy - Australian independent country artist

So what are you comfortable divulging about that?

Well, I think ever since Melbourne didn't move for two years, way back when, it kind of brought me to a point in my life that I felt like I had a lot of life experience that I needed to share.

I wanted to share.

And it was both therapeutic and healing for me to write.

And that's exactly what I started to do.

So that's part of the journey that I have been on later in life because I'm no spring chicken, sister.

And so did that.

So last year, your album, Better Than Good, came out.

And I've been doing my research, debuted at number two on the ARIA country charts.

And that is, I mean, that's incredible.

Thank you, Kelly.

Well, it happens to be my favorite song on the album, the album's actually called chasing clarity, but one of my, that's all right.

My favorite song on the album, one of my favorites is called better than good, which we can talk about any of the music, but yeah, it was really kind of cool because I was second that week only to Keith Urban.

So I feel like someone who's an independent singer songwriter, it's pretty, awesome to, um, you know, release music and, and land, you know, near, near him.

And that's based purely on, um, on sales.

So it was pre-orders, um, in both physical copy and also, um, streaming.

So they had to be in a week's time period.

You had to have a certain amount of streams and then you had to have us, I don't know, I can't remember all the detail around it, but you had to have a certain amount of album, physical album sales, um, And it was all like audited and very, very professional.

Second

only to Keith Urban.

Like that's not many people can say that.

I don't think that for your debut that like it's, if only Keith hadn't released in the same week.
