Welcome back WITS listeners! This week, join Elle and Kay as we discuss Basket Case: Taken by the Horny Wicker Basket by Skye and Philomena MacKinnon.
WITS Smut Scale: 🐙🐙🐙
This week, we start with a call to action for our US listeners. Please go out and vote this week, your voice matters! We continue to use this podcast to broaden our understanding of the world, including investigating whether or not Philomena MacKinnon is a pen name (it is) or a cat. Boots on the ground investigative journalism over here. Kay loves the incorporation of Scottish lore in her smut. We learned about some of the traditions of Samhain (including how to properly pronounce it), specifically picking kale to get information about your future spouse. As for the smut... it smuts in this book. Kay was very pleased to find that the basket does, in fact, turn into a flesh and blood man (Fae?) at the end.
For the first time in a while, this was a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for both Kay and Elle.
