Ruby Dixon

Yeah.

I always kind of point back to it is like Ruby Dixon.

She was kind of writing that alien romance, the Ice Planet Barbarians, because she did it.

But then it popped off.

But then it got to a point where they were.

But I think it

goes back to that thing about like, we enjoy a monster romance or like an alien romance it just it has to be well written and it's almost such a niche market it tends not to be that well written and so people will not read it until it's a really good book like ruby dixon's whole series and people just binge that then

sometimes if you're trying to catch a trend and you put something out before it's ready, because like, you know, there's been some of us who do that too.

Next week, we are returning to another favorite of the pod.

We will be reading When She's Stuffed by Ruby Dixon.

We are firmly into November now, and we are headed towards American Thanksgiving.

So why not? Yeah.

Nope.

And I haven't looked into this one at all.

So I'm excited, though, because Ruby Dixon really can do no wrong.

True.

Ice Planet Barbarians.

Ruby Dixon.

That kind of...

Yes.

Like they're not really like a brain off book at all.

Like you can't like, you know how you've read like a hundred million Ruby Dixon books.

this is no

popcorn reader i definitely feel the like experimental aspect to these novels and i can kind of see it reflected in the average rating because it has a 3.68 star average and 128 000 ratings with 20 000 written reviews and usually when a book is sitting at less than like four stars meaning there's some middling controversy surrounding like people have mixed feelings it's a little bit more complex and sometimes that's a sweet spot for like a six star read
