So today I'm actually going to tackle a topic, John, and I think it's going to sink perfectly into what you're doing today as well.

Now, I've kind of glanced over it a little bit in certain when I've had certain guests on and stuff like that, but I haven't really dove into this.

and it's this topic of the family unit that I want to talk about now this is a kind of a it's a it's a hot topic these days because of course again depending on what side you're looking at or whatever there's this there's this whole concept in society today if they're trying to demonize the family unit trying to demonize men and all that type of stuff and when obviously we don't get political on this show however I do want to talk about the family unit in terms of What are the trials and tribulations that the family can go through and also children can go through, especially when they encounter difficulties, when there's a separation, when the family unit's no longer working.

And I'm talking when I say family unit, mom, dad, and child, that type of thing, okay? And as a person who's been through that in their life, I think I can offer some value in that.

I look at it as a kid who went through it, but also as a parent now, looking back at it, saying, you know, how am I going to raise my child and that type of thing.

So I've got a couple of articles, or actually they're studies, brand new studies, by the way, that just came out literally in June.

And it talks about The effect on kids when there is a separation or divorce with the family unit.

So the first one is called Outcomes Associated with Childhood Parental Divorce, an Umbrella Review, a Meta-Analysis.

And then the second one is another meta-analysis, Long-Term Effects of Parental Divorce on Mental Health.

health so really obviously you know john last time we were talking about um how social media and phones and that type of stuff affects kids and stuff like that so we we went into that piece but now we're going to look at the family and how these types of difficulties can also affect children so i'm going to go over those numbers I'm gonna also, and you and I can have a really good discussion on this because I think we both have good perspectives on it, but I'm also gonna just kind of give my two cents and my, again, as a person who's been through it, of what I found in my life, what has helped me, and um kind of the way i look at it as a parent versus when i was a kid and then you know again we'll have a good discussion on that so that's going to be um my uh my topic on this and then i think it'll blend into what you're talking about john

yeah absolutely and i can also offer an experience uh there as well in my upbringing and my uh how i you know my situation as well and overall you know i think as we now that we're older we're married You know, there's a lot of the statistics that are out there have been are sort of outdated.

And we're also going to be talking about the way to happiness where, you know, we're doing we do one of the precepts here every week or if it applies.

So we're going to be talking about not only, you know, those that are not married, but those that are married, not being promiscuous goes across the boards.

And we're gonna be talking about premarital sex as well as other issues that correlate with divorce and those kinds.
