So again, this whole scandal that came out with avocado oil, you know, and John and I have talked about this, you know, many times we were talking about it actually before the show about the products that we have that we've bought in the past or even recent past.

So just really quickly, for those of you who kind of missed it, or maybe you haven't been keeping up with what's going on, this is what it sounded like.
Paying extra for foods made with avocado oil because you think it's a healthier option, a new UC Davis study says you may not actually be getting what you're paying for.
We have an avocado oil problem and it's not good news.
Researchers found that 89% of the products tested contained cheaper oils, even though avocado oil was the only oil listed on the labels.
89% of chips, mayonnaise, salad dressings with avocado oil were fake.
They're blending other oils in avocado oil.
89% contained other less expensive oils, for example, seed oil.
Looks like they were cut with seed oil.
Sunflower, safflower, etc.
Which is
absolutely insane because people buy these products to avoid seed oils.
We're talking about products from brands like Siete, Chosen Foods, Primal Kitchen, Jackson's, Kettle Brand, Boulder
We were pretty shocked when we found out a lot of them don't really have avocado oil.

so infuriating it is infuriating and this is where you know we were talking about that john john and i really try to do our diligence in terms of trying to buy these products and you know because again we we do the research we look at what's on the label and all this for ourselves and our family thinking that we're you know that we're doing the healthiest thing and then something like this comes out now i must say again they're still they're still kind of going back and forth with this thing because there's obviously a lot of people in the natural community are trying to debunk the study okay and then you know and of course you know the other folks on the other side of things are like oh this is great you know this gets people away from these natural products and back on back on doritos on doritos and on all that type of stuff you know so big food is loving this type of stuff you know so the couple of questions i have of course again like i said before is number one You know, are there valid points to this, obviously? Or number two, is this a hit piece? You know, or, you know, or are they just using this? You know, obviously, Bigfoot is going to use this as far as a hit piece.

You know, one of the things that is frustrating is because we can't I can't go buy a bag of, you know, boulders, chips or siete or one of those and put it under a microscope and break down all the components and know for myself what it actually is.

Now, I know there are independent, you know, scientists and you can actually study and you can send it to independent labs and they can do all that stuff.

But I mean, who's really going to do that? You know, and so that's that's where the frustration is.

But, you know, it's interesting what you said about is it a hit piece because.
