i can kind of start and then liana can kind of jump in but um hilly builders was you know the core of everything you know we started it 2019 we operated everything under the business name hilly builders we still operate under the business hilly builders llc that is the the company that has the general construction license the general contractor license With our early beginnings, it was only me working in the field.
And the work that was out there was more carpentry based, you know, decks, pergolas, just outdoor living type structures.
Um, so we initially got a lot of inquiry through Haley builders for those types of work, and it kind of started to overrun a little bit of the remodeling and renovation side of it.
So we branched off, started the DBA Hawaii deck builders to give it a home, to give it a space to grow.
Um, and since we did that, we've noticed that we've been getting a lot more inquiry for renovation remodeling work and the hilly builders llc the general construction side where we're certified aging and place specialists we can explore that in a minute um but then the decks has a nice place to expand and grow um do you have any

yeah i think that sounds right um it's pretty simple i mean we we really like doing both we like Remodeling renovations.

We also like deck building, but deck building, I think has, it's so, it's so different.

And I think like anybody listening, who's a deck builder would completely understand, like we could incorporate it within hillway builders, but we really wanted to like, give it, like Chad said, give it its own space, give it its own marketing, give its own website.

And it's funny because some of the remodeling and renovation projects we're doing is because we built their deck.

So they kind of go together, but who we builders, like we really like it to be more high touch, um, not quantity focused.

not pushing to be the biggest renovator a remodeler in the state it's really truly people who want to work with us and those clients probably a lot of them are going to be those that we've worked on the deck building side of things because deck building is very carpentry based as chad said and those skills really can translate over to um you know doing really well done remodeling and renovations um of course we have to subcontract you know our specialty trades like plumbing and electrical but um again not to go too off on a different but chad actually most of his experience was in new home construction so like i mean it's crazy how much building knowledge he has but like we still really love having that available to our clients so um It'll always be there.

It'll always kind of be like our legacy is Hillway Builders, but we're having a lot of fun on the deck side.

And for anybody that's just listening and not watching the video, we've got huge smiles over here.

And one other interesting fact I did want to point out, because I thought this... is that Oahu has a population of about a million people.
