Spilling the Tea Tuesday

Welcome back, Warren County.

I'm Kelly Walker-Slaughter.

I am Jeff Simmons.

You're watching the JK Show here from Zora's Tea Room and Cafe.

I guess it's time for a little bit of breaking news, Kelly.

Yes, sponsored by Worldwide Liquors, and thanks to them again.

We love our sponsors.

If you'd like to sponsor the JK Show, you can contact me or Jeff, and we'll give you the hookup.

But with that being said, starting off, which I'm going to share this really quickly to our screen.

I did share this story last week when it happened on Friday or Saturday, I believe it was.

No, it was Saturday morning when I caught it because I emailed you.

But with that being said, Scott Desjardins, which is our fourth congressional...

You can share the audio, whatever.

So y'all are seeing this on your screen right now.

He made an announcement on his Facebook page on four days ago and essentially letting everybody know that four days ago today that he met with Secretary Collins.

Yep.

which is over, you know, the VAs.

And he let everybody know I'm proud of the joint effort and the fourth by my office and Secretary Collins' office to keep the McMinnville VA clinic open for the foreseeable future.

And a lot of vets have called me because I did send that out in the email.

So when I see the words foreseeable future, I'm going to assume –

Well, yeah, it's going to

be at least, you know,

at least past December 31st, 2026, which I think that was where they had had the reprieve that they were going to keep it open till then.

Now I feel like foreseeable future is at least in the 2027 and then go find things for there.

But yeah, you're correct.
