Warren County

Hello, my name is Hugh Plappert, and welcome to Ground Floor Government.

We have a fun podcast today, and our special guest is Terry Bell, county executive from Warren County, Tennessee.

Welcome, Terry.

Hi.

And so if you can share your story of how you got started in local government.

Uh, how I got started in local government was I just ran for the county commissioner seat in my district.

We have 12 districts in, in Warren County, and I run in the 11th District of Warren County and got elected back in 2002, and just wanted to make sure that our community was represented in, in Warren County government.

And over that process, I become chairman of the, uh, education committee.

He does land auctions, real estate.

He's based in Smithville, but he's really starting to make a mark here in in the Warren County area.

Do you still have the groceries? Do you still sell the meats? We still have the meat store in Smithville.
